What does it mean to feel intentional?

In-tension is the tool you need to be able to successfully embrace and enhance your energy body.

 

Feeling intentional refers to a sense of purposefulness, driven by the will. This involves a heightened sense of being positive and confident and being able to achieve one’s goals, or intentions.

Intention is essentially an action, motivated by thoughts and decisions (8-fold path).

A great way to think about intention is to break the word up into two parts, namely in-tention. This refers to the actual core internalisation of the will, through the cognitive action of creating tension, releasing it and redefining it.

 

§                   All bodychology exercises begin with intention.

 

Creating in-tension

In-tension is created by concentrating on the core (abdominal) area of your body. Breathing in deeply (B!) you release and lift the core, imagining the intent that you wish to instill in your energy body. Breathing out deeply (BO) you slowly tension and tighten the core area into a contraction. Hold this contraction as you imagine you are grounding your intentions into your body. Repeat this exercise as many times as it takes to develop a sense of heightened purpose and in-tension.

 

 

 

Remember (do try this at home!)

BI – breathing in or intrinsic breath. This can be to the count

of one, two three or four.. eg BI1, BI2, BI3 etc

BO – breathing out or extrinsic breath. This can be to the

count of one, two three or four, eg BO1, BO2, BO3 etc
