What is Apathy?

Anger is an overall feeling of listlessness, lack of interest and motivation and a sense of physical weakness. Apathy can be related to depression and may result from a sense of disappointment with life in general.

Symptoms of apathy vary but are commonly identified by an inability to react to the stimuli surrounding one, a general disinterest in one’s work and social environments and a sense of fatigue.

This page is designed to help you discover your own emotional truth. Even if you are feeling uncontrollable anger in your life, there is hope.

Exercise for Apathy

When you wake up in the morning, it is important to reconnect with a sense of purpose with the world around you.

The 5 rites is an excellent way to do this. Start in a downward dog (yoga position) with hands and feet on the floor and your back arched. BI and slowly lower your torso into a plank position (straight back), continuing to lower the body so that your lower back is arched and your knees are a few inches from the floor. BO and slowly raise your torso back into the downward dog position. Repeat this exercise 5 times.

§      Remember

BI – breathing in or intrinsic breath. This can be to the count

of one, two three or four.. eg BI1, BI2, BI3 etc

BO – breathing out or extrinsic breath. This can be to the

count of one, two three or four, eg BO1, BO2, BO3 etc
