Daily Mood Exercise What is ADD? Attention Deficit Disorder, or
ADD/ADHD, is a psychological term currently applied to anyone who meets the
DSM IV diagnostic criteria for impulsivity, hyperactivity and/or
inattention. The diagnostic criteria are subjective and include behavior
which might be caused by a wide variety of factors, ranging from brain
defects to allergies to giftedness. ADD, as currently defined, is a
highly subjective description, not a specific disease. Daily Exercise Calm and centre the mind with the Butoh

Focus on a spot
on the floor just in front of you. §
Standing
upright, turn the right palm upwards, and imagine a string running between
foot and hand. §
Slowly lift the
right leg and imagine the hand is pulling the foot upwards (BI) §
Turn the flat palm downwards and imagine pushing
down on the flexed foot to place it in front of you. BO §
Left arm is hanging slightly behind. Slowly bring
the left palm around and up to lift the left foot. BI Repeat
this exercise about 8 times, walking around the room. §
Remember BI – breathing in or intrinsic breath.
This can be to the count of
one, two three or four.. eg BI1, BI2, BI3 etc BO –
